Verdächtig nah an iTunes: der "Linotype FontExplorer X"

Wenn das mal keine Plagiats-Klage von Apple nach sich zieht: der neue kostenlose "Linotype Font Explorer X" des Schriften-Spezialisten Linotype bietet das "Look-and-Feel" von Apples Musiksoftware "iTunes".

Der Gratis-Browser fungiert ähnlich wie "iTunes" bei Musik als Organisations-Tool zum Sortieren und Betrachten von Schriften. Mit Klick auf den Shop-Link öffnet sich der "Linotype Library" Shop, der ebenfalls starke Ähnlichkeiten mit dem "Apple Music Store" hat.

Interessanter Aspekt: Gratis-Software, um Content zu verkaufen. "iTunes", "Adobe Stock Photos", "Linotype FontExplorer X" ... Man darf gespannt sein, was als nächstes kommen mag. Die neue kostenlose Software dürfte die Hersteller von "Extensis Suitcase", "Master Juggler" (Alsoft) oder "FontAgent Pro" mit Sicherheit nicht wirklich freuen.
