Red Giant übernimmt Singular ("PluralEyes")

Der US-amerikanische Video-Effekt-Spezialist Red Giant ("MagicBullet") hat die Übernahme des Multicam- und Synchronisations-Workflow-Spezialisten Singular Software ("PluralEyes") inklusive aller Produkte verkündet. Details über die Übernahme waren nicht zu erfahren. Die Singular-Entwickler werden weiterhin an "PluralEyes 3.0 for Mac" arbeiten, das in Kürze ("im Sommer 2012") erscheinen soll.

Aus der englischsprachigen Information von Red Giant: "Beginning July 9, 2012, all Singular Software products will become part of the Red Giant portfolio, including:

PluralEyes for automated syncing of audio tracks and multi-camera video.
DualEyes for audio replacement for DSLR users.
CloudEyes, a set of audio/video synchronization services for developers.
Singular Software Presto, a quick, easy way to create professional quality videos of presentations.
All intellectual property for the related technology.

The products will continue to be sold and supported through Singular Software's website over the next couple of months. In Q3 2012, Red Giant will complete their integration of the Singular Software products, and all sales and support will move to RedGiant.com.

Pricing and product offerings will remain unchanged during the transition, and pricing for PluralEyes 3.0 will be announced on release.
